Welcome to a unique leadership opportunity in London local government.

South London is a sub-region with serious scale and ambition. Five boroughs, Croydon, Kingston upon Thames, Merton, Richmond upon Thames and Sutton, are home to more than 1.2 million people and an economy generating over £38 billion.

The South London Partnership brings these five boroughs together in a cross-party collaboration that is, by design, "of the boroughs, for the boroughs." It exists to do the things that make strategic sense to do together. That means driving inclusive, sustainable growth, supporting residents into jobs and skills, coordinating health and care collaboration, and building the digital and transport infrastructure South London needs to thrive.

The Partnership has momentum. Its BIG Ambition sets out a shared roadmap for growth to 2035, aligned with the London Growth Plan and strengthening South London's case for government investment and devolution. A new Transport Strategy is about to be published. Employment and skills programmes are being delivered directly, on the ground. And behind it all sits genuine collective commitment across all five boroughs, at both political and officer level.

What is needed now is a Director to lead it forward, working alongside Leaders and Chief Executives, leading a talented core team, and acting as South London's voice with government, the GLA, London Councils and partners across the capital.
